| Uranian @strology on the Internet By Steve Lee, Masterton (New Zealand) There is great interest in Uranian astrology and Hamburg School I live in a small rural town in New Zealand. There are only three other Uranian astrologers in New Zealand, so forming this email group enabled a better involvement for myself as well as many other isolated astrologers around the world. As of June 1999, there are 121 members on the Uranian Group email list. We are a very international group, that includes these countries: Thailand, India, Russia, Turkey, Italy, France, Spain, Norway, England, U.S.A., Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and others. Unfortunately, we do not have any members from Germany, but I hope that after this article we will have some new members. A second group was started last year, called Midpoints 101. This email group is for beginners of midpoint astrology techniques, and is a place where basic questions can be asked. At this time we have 114 members. Both groups are steadily growing. Most all of our members are very experienced and knowledgeable astrologers. A typical member will have studied astrology for twenty years, and we have a significant number who are authors of astrological books, professional astrologers, astrology teachers, psychotherapists, and university graduates. I welcome any astrologer interested in midpoint astrology and dial techniques. I emphasize the importance of Hamburg School techniques, but I do not restrict members to follow any one path. Cosmobiologists and Uranian astrologers are welcome to share and discuss their work. Because we are such a large international group that includes astrologers from different backgrounds, different cultures, However, there is a problem with this. For example, some astrologers will try to use the Transneptunians in a manner that was not intended by Witte, and others will not know some fundamental 90 degree dial techniques. It is the responsibility of experienced members - and especially those with Hamburg School knowledge - to correct these mistakes. I always try to maintain a central importance of the Hamburg School work. For those readers who may not be familiar with the Internet, it is I have two large web sites associated with my two groups. There is enough material on these sites to keep someone reading for many hours. The amount of this material will double in size before the end of the year. Many charts and graphs are included. Anyone can access these sites. I hope to soon include pages written in the German language. The Uranian Group began on 18 October, 1997, 1420 NZT (-12:00), Masterton New Zealand, 40S57 175E40. Using the 22deg30 format, there is a very favourable cluster of factors: Other planetary pictures include the following: The time that I chose to start our group is also correct using traditional "Electional" techniques. It was important to use both techniques since most members are familiar with both forms The topics that we discuss are very diverse. Natal and predictive I have personally received nearly 100 letters from astrologers who have started Transneptunian, dial, midpoint and halfsum techniques for the first time. In each letter, they have happily said that learning these new techniques have given them better accuracy and a wonderful sense of accomplishment. One of the first problems an astrologer meets, when they first become interested in Uranian and Hamburg School techniques, is where to obtain the necessary books and dials ? This has been a big problem for non-German astrologers, and an especially big obstacle for those isolated in remote countries. My web sites offer many places where astrologers can obtain Uranian books, dials and software. It is this easy and quick communication that is allowing many more astrologers to become involved in Uranian astrology. It is my hope to further promote the techniques of the Hamburg School. *** Contact Steve: juno@contact.net.nz juno@xtra.co.nz Web-Sites: |
